As the Pest Control industry had evolved throughout Canada it there grew a need to form a national body to oversee the industry was needed so with in mind the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) was founded in 1993 as a non-profit organization. The NPMA’s first order of business was to establish proper pest control management practices and protocols that would uphold the commitment to preserve public health, through the framework of integrated pest management education.
The NPMA’s commitment to the preservation of public health is reflected in both its distribution and dissemination of educational website and documentation for pest control professionals and the public alike. The NPMA consistent and reliable messaging of the latest information to homeowners & businesses has proven to be an invaluable resource. Now, with more than 5500 members across the globe, the National Pest Management Association has become the one of the largest and most recognized and respected organization of its kind in the world.
How exactly does the NPMA help establish proper pest management practices and preserve public health? With its headquarters located in Fairfax, Virginia; The NPMA runs based on its Vision Statement and 4 different goals of Consumer Connections, Member Benefits, Public Health Leadership and Regulation & Policy Creation which are guided by highly experienced and qualified industry professionals who serve on the board of directors responsible for policy making within the association.
